Clondegad G.A.A club which is located in Ballynacally village in Co. Clare 10 miles west of Ennis along the Fergus Estuary has been in existence for over 60 years. The club caters for Gaelic footballers from a very young age right up to adult intermediate level. The most recent formation of the club was in 1943 (click on link to read about first A.G.M) and celebrated it's 50th year in existence in 1993 by officially opening Pairc Michael O' Hehir who's father was a native of Paradise. The club won it's first junior championship that year and repeated that success again in 1969and in the year 2000. The club now boasts two adult teams at intermediate and junior B level.

Along with the development of the teams and progress made on the field much development has taken place on Pairc Michael O'Hehir. The field was purchased from former player and supporter Alec McMahon in Castlepark on the 9th of May 1980 for £19,000, 10% of which would be paid as a down payment and the remainder on completion of the sale. Much work was done in developing the field in the eighties and was completed just in time for the opening ceremony in 1993. Over the years the club has had some very industrious and hard working officers such as Michael Brassil, Pat Garry, Micko Griffin, John Joe Hehir and Michael Toner all who have passed to their eternal reward. In working for the club so well each one of them has left a legacy of community spirit and honest hard work which present day officers try to emulate.

The club would not have achieved so much success without the success of the weekly lotto and much praise must go to the sixty odd people who help in the running of the draw each week. Along with the officers and the lotto committee much praise must be given to the Fás workers and summer students who carry out the maintenance work on the field during the year.
